Share ratings, size and access details
Send the equipment name, model or nameplate rating, working condition and quantity. Photos should show the complete unit and any missing parts. For larger equipment, add approximate dimensions and weight when known rather than assuming a standard pickup vehicle or loading method.
Explain whether equipment remains connected or fixed in place, and describe stairs, narrow access or loading restrictions. Electrical disconnection, dismantling, lifting and loading responsibilities must be agreed before collection. Do not disconnect live equipment or move a heavy unit just to prepare a request.
Reusable equipment and scrap are assessed differently
Model, rating, working condition, completeness and recoverable material affect the assessment. Inspection and verified weight may be relevant for a scrap lot, while usable equipment needs its specifications reviewed. The team confirms eligibility, the final quote and collection arrangements; an online request does not reserve lifting equipment or confirm site work.
Questions before you sell
Can I offer a non-working motor or generator?
Yes. Describe known faults and missing parts, and share the nameplate where possible. The team assesses the equipment or material based on its actual condition.
Does the request include disconnection and loading?
Those arrangements need to be agreed for the particular equipment and site. Share access, size and connection details before the pickup is confirmed.
