Describe the material before scheduling
Share clear photos, the material type if known, and an approximate weight. Say whether the lot contains copper, aluminium, insulation, plugs or mixed attachments. Keeping different materials identified helps the team understand the lot without assuming a single grade.
Only offer material you are authorised to sell. Do not burn insulation or strip live electrical cables. Tell the team if material is still connected, fixed in place or requires electrical isolation. Disconnection and access responsibilities must be agreed before collection.
Grade and verified weight determine the assessment
Copper content, insulation, attached material, grade and the composition of a mixed lot affect its buying value. Approximate weights help plan an assessment, but the final quote depends on inspection and verified weight where applicable. A per-kg guide for one named material is not a fixed rate for every cable or mixed lot.
Questions before you sell
Can I offer insulated cable?
Yes. Include photos showing the cable type and insulation, plus approximate weight. The team assesses the actual material and condition rather than assuming bare-copper value.
Should I strip cable before pickup?
Do not strip live wiring or burn insulation. Describe the lot as it is and agree any necessary disconnection or preparation with the team.
